If you’re on the lookout for a seriously satisfying meal before a West End show, allow us to introduce ourselves: Jamie Oliver Catherine St – one of the best pre-theatre restaurants in London.

London’s Theatreland is a blinder of a jewel in the capital’s crown, and we love being smack dab in the middle of it. In fact, we’re right next door to Theatre Royal, Drury Lane (the oldest theatre site in London that’s still in use).

Our menus celebrate feel-good food made with locally sourced ingredients. Think seasonal soups and pork rillette to start, steak Diane, super green pasta and sea bream for mains, all rounded off with proper puds worth saving room for.

Our attentive team will have you wined, dined and in your seat well before the curtain rises. Simply share your show time with them, and they’ll take care of the rest.

Where to Eat Before Disney’s Hercules the Musical?

Not only are we neighbours to the iconic Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, we’re quite literally tucked into the side of this Grade I listed beauty. A stone’s throw? Honestly, that would be exaggerating the distance.

That puts us in the perfect spot for a pre-show feast before Disney’s Hercules the Musical, especially if you’re in the mood for some cosy classics. So before you experience Greek myths with a modern twist, dig into British grub legends reimagined with a splash of Jamie magic.

What Else Can I Do Before a West End Show?

If you’re making a day of it, then there’s plenty to keep you busy before the show starts. Wander around the glorious markets in Covent Garden or bask in the sights of Chinatown. Plus Soho, Carnaby Street and even Oxford Street are only a short ramble away too.

Just make sure you get to the theatre at the very least 20 minutes before the show starts. That’ll give you enough time to take a look at the merch, pop to the bathroom and find your seat.

Let the Show Begin!

If you’re dropping in before Hercules or making a night of it in the West End, you’re in for some seriously tasty food. Go on, turn an amazing day into something truly special.

And it doesn’t stop at pre-theatre dining. Our Sunday roast is one of Covent Garden’s best, and our seasonal menus are packed with dishes worth coming back for.
